Zelensky toes the West’s line as Poroshenko did - LPR Head
LUGANSK, August 20 (Lugansk Media Centre) - Ukrainian President Vladimir Zelensky, as his predecessor Petr Poroshenko, is guided in his policy by instructions given by the West, Lugansk People’s Republic Head Leonid Pasechnik said at a meeting with LPR trade unions leaders.
The newly-elected Ukrainian president, despite his promises to achieve peace, is not ready for dialogue with the Donbass Republics, he said.
“It shows that he differs little from the previous president Poroshenko as he mostly follows the same instructions which Poroshenko had followed. That is, the instructions given by pro-western politicians, the instruction by the West and America,” Pasechnik said.
“Ukraine changed its government; when Zelensky came to power, both residents of the Republic and residents of Ukraine hoped for changes for the better, at least for the end of fighting and some kind of dialogue with the Republics that might yield something positive. As practice has shown, there has been no dialogue thus far, and as I see it, we won’t have it in the near future,” the LPR Head added.
Earlier, Pasechnik invited Zelensky to Lugansk for talks promising security guarantees.
