Woman, child wounded in Zolotoye-5 explosion – LPR Emergencies Ministry
LUGANSK, September 29 (Lugansk Media Centre) - A woman and child were wounded in an explosion of an unidentified object in the frontline Zolotoye-5 settlement, the Lugansk People’s Republic Emergencies Ministry press service reported.
“At 18:30 on September 28, a 41-year-old woman and a 12-year-old boy were wounded as an unidentified explosive object detonated,” the report said.
The woman, wounded in the legs, was taken to the surgery department of the Pervomaisk multi-purpose hospital. The child who suffered multiple wounds to the face, chest, stomach and arms was rushed to the Lugansk Republican Clinical Hospital.
No more details were immediately available.
Earlier, LPR People’s Militia spokesman Yakov Osadchiy said that some 20 civilians had been wounded in explosions of mines planted by Kiev forces since the beginning of this year.
In 2019, LPR Emergencies Ministry engineers defused 826 explosive hazards.
The ministry regularly warns LPR residents of UXO threat and reminds about the safety rules, such as
follow trodden paths when bicycling of walking
watch out for mine danger signs
keep away from suspicious objects on the roads and roadsides
drive around pits or damaged road surfaces
don't get two far from the vehicle if you have to stop, and keep away from bushes.
In case of finding suspicious objects, residents are requested to remember the location and report it by calling 101 or 102.
