Vostokugol plans to launch 12 new coal faces in 2021 - deputy director
LUGANSK, January 26 (Lugansk Media Centre) - The Republican Fuel Company Vostokugol state-owned unitary enterprise plans to launch 12 new coal faces this year, Vostokugol deputy director general for production Vladimir Semak told reporters.
“Since the establishment of Vostokugol, ten coal faces were launched in the period from May 2020 to December 2020, with the average daily workload at 1,200 tons,” Semak said. The company plans to launch 12 faces in 2021 with the average daily production rate of 1,500 tons.”
“We see a visible increase, so we plan larger workload and production and higher and steady wages,” the deputy director general said.
On Tuesday, the XIX Party Congress mine is launching a new project, the fist of the 12 new coal faces this year, he added.
Earlier, the LPR government announce a coal industry modernisation programme. Its key objectives were set by LPR Head Leonid Pasechnik. He said that the restructuring would make Vostokugol a locomotive for the LPR economy.
Vostokugol brings together 56 companies employing more than 30,000 people. As of December 15, 2020, the company had produced 4.5 million tons of coal since its establishment.
