Vostokugol boosts monthly coal production by 45 percent since establishment
LUGANSK, January 26 (Lugansk Media Centre) - The Republican Fuel Company Vostokugol state-owned unitary enterprise has increased monthly coal production by 45 percent since its establishment, Vostokugol deputy director general for production Vladimir Semak told reporters.
“Monthly coal production (since the company was established) has increased by 45 percent, while sales of finished products have increased by 96 percent,” Semak said. “Labour productivity per person employed has increased by 61 percent.”
Earlier, the LPR government announced a coal industry restructuring programme. Its key objectives were set forth by LPR Head Leonid Pasechnik. Pasechnik said that the restructuring would make Vostokugol a locomotive for the LPR economy.
Vostokugol brings together 56 companies employing more than 30,000 people. As of December 15, 2020, the company had produced 4.5 million tons of coal since its establishment.
