Volunteer social movement assists 3,000 people in 2017
LUGANSK, December 29 (Lugansk Media Centre) – The Volunteer social movement has provided humanitarian aid to more than 15,000 vulnerable people in three years of its operation, the year report showed.
"In 2017 alone, the Volunteer helped 3,143 people, distributing 25 tons of humanitarian aid. In three years, the project provided 100 tons of aid to 15,000 people."
This week, Mir Luganschine (Peace to Lugansk Region) social movement announced it has gained over 100,000 members by the end of the year.
Mir Luganschine is the largest social movement in the Republic. It was established prior to elections to LPR People’s Council on 2 November 2014. Mir Luganschine activists enjoyed solid support coming first with 69.42 percent of votes.
