Vodafone restores mobile service in LPR
LUGANSK, January 19 (Lugansk Media Centre) – The MTS Ukraine (Vodafone) mobile carrier has restored mobile service in the LPR, the LPR mission to the JCCC announced via its Telegram-channel.
"The repairs of faulty fiber-optic cable were finalized at 15.15 January 18, security guarantees issued by the Ukrainian side and the LPR People's Militia were observed in full, the OSCE SMM recorded it during its mirror patrolling."
The LPR mission to the JCCC said on January 18 that Ukraine had finally provided safety guarantees to facilitate repairs to resume the services of the MTS Ukraine (Vodafone) mobile carrier in the LPR.
Mobile operator Vodafone known as MTS Ukraine before rebranding suspended operation in LPR territory due to cable rupture on January 11. The repair was complicated by the location of the cable break outside Elenovka controlled by Kiev forces.
