Vodafone cable to be fixed within a couple of day - LPR Ministry of Communications
LUGANSK, January 17 (Lugansk Media Centre) – The Ministry of Communications and Mass Media plans to complete repairs of the MTS Ukraine (Vodafone) mobile carrier malfunctioning communication line within the next few days.
"The cable was dug out, the ruptured section was cleaned. Weather conditions require a tent to be installed, additional teams will arrive tomorrow," the ministry said.
"Hopefully the line will be restored within a couple of days."
Earlier in the day, the LPR mission to the JCCC said Ukraine had provided safety guarantees to facilitate repairs to resume the services of the MTS Ukraine (Vodafone) mobile carrier in the LPR.
Mobile operator Vodafone known as MTS Ukraine before rebranding suspended operation in LPR territory due to cable rupture. The repair is complicated by the location of the cable break outside Elenovka controlled by Kiev forces.
