Ukrainian shellfire causes fire, destroys 7 ha of wheat
LUGANSK, July 13 (Lugansk Media Centre) – A fire caused by Ukrainian shelling burn 7 ha of a wheat field in the Slavyanoserbsk district.
"Slavyanoserbsk emergency services were alarmed at 5.51 a.m. on July 12 by an employee of the Frunze Town Council, Vital Services Department, who reported a wheat field burning after massive Ukrainian attack," the Ministry of Emergencies said.
The blaze destroyed 7 ha of wheat, 30 ha of stubble and 0.5 ha of dry grass.
"Efforts to control the fire were complicated by the possibility of another shelling and strong winds."
The blaze was extinguished at 7.43 a.m.
Overall, almost 60 ha of dry grass and wheat burnt in the Slavyanoserbsk district this year.
