Ukraine lost 4,800 troops in Donbass conflict - LPR People's Militia
LUGANSK, April 12 (Lugansk Media Centre) – Ukrainian forces lost 4,800 troops in the four years of conflict in Donbass, said LPR People's Militia spokesman Lieutenant-Colonel Andrey Marochko.
"Our source said that the Ukrainian military medical service had prepared a report for land forces command on military and civilian casualties sustained during the armed operation in Donbass in 2014-2018."
"According to the report, Ukrainian armed forces lost 3,301 troops in action, as well as 1,528 non-battle casualties."
The national police combat losses amount to 157 members, 14 are non-battle casualties.
The national guard lost 208 people in action, 31 are non-combat casualties.
Ukrainian border guard combat losses amount to 87, while 24 are non-combat casualties.
Ukraine's security service combat losses amount to 17, while three are non-combat casualties.
State emergencies service lost 29 members in action, two are non-combat casualties.
State fiscal service lost three people in action.
"Civilian casualties amounted to 3,187 people."
In March 2019, nine service members were killed, 23 wounded. Four of those deaths were suicides, five others are non-combat deaths in the 30th brigade; 15 injuries also occurred in this brigade, eight others – in the 10th mountain assault brigade.
