Two COVID-19 patients die in LPR over 24 hours - Health Ministry
LUGANSK, April 1 (Lugansk Media Centre) - Two people have died in the Lugansk People’s Republic due to COVID-19 over the past 24 hours, the LPR Healthcare Ministry press service reported.
“Two COVID-19 related deaths have been recorded which brings the LPR coronavirus infection death toll to 322 since the beginning of the pandemic,” the report said.
The World Health Organisation called the COVID-19 infection a pandemic caused by a novel coronavirus. The first COVID-19 cases were recorded in China in late 2019. The number of coronavirus contacts across the world has exceeded 127.8 million by now; of those, over 2.7 million people died, according to the WHO. The LPR confirmed 3,707 COVID-19 cases.
To prevent the spread of the coronavirus infection, the LPR authorities put the Republic on high alert and introduced lockdown measures.
