Surkov: Normandy Four summit date may be set after disengagement is completed
LUGANSK, October 2 (Lugansk Media Centre) – The date of the Normandy Four summit shall be defined only after the disengagement of forces and hardware in Zolotoye and Petrovskoye zones is completed, Russian Presidential Aide Vladislav Surkov told TASS, commenting on the recent meeting of the Contact Group.
The Steinmeier formula has been signed by the Contact Group members in Minsk on October 1 after almost four years of negotiations. The disengagement in Zolotoye and Petrovskoye is regarded as an integral part of the settlement plan set by the formula.
The disengagement is to renew on October 7.
"The final coordination of the summit date shall happen after the disengagement is completed and confirmed," Surkov said. "If everything goes normal, the process shall take approximately two weeks".
He said a meeting of Foreign Ministers might take place before the summit.
