Strategic goals in LPR industrial development announced by LPR Head

LUGANSK, May 12 (Lugansk Media Centre) – LPR acting head Leonid Pasechnik, presenting the LPR development Program-2023 Our Choice, announced strategic goals of LPR agricultural sector development.

"We have to implement important projects in various industrial sectors to achieve goals for 2018-2019, such as Energy Safety and Power Supply to Industrial Enterprises, a project to launch three furnaces at the Stakhanov Ferro-Alloys Plant, a project to launch industry infrastructure at the Alchevsk Steel Plant."

"We plan to complete the overhaul of locomotives stored at railroad and industrial enterprises, overhaul of railway cargo carriages for enterprises internal needs, to launch key enterprises of light industry."

"In 2018-2019 we anticipate a major growth of at least 60 percent compared to 2017 of production and sales of industrial production, and a subsequent surge in employment in all industrial spheres," Pasechnik said.

"We expect the growth up to the pre-war levels; we need to work out industries subsidizing plan to motivate owns to raise employment in priority sectors."

On March 14, acting LPR Head Leonid Pasechnik said at a session of the Mir Luganschine Republican Council that LPR residents would be able to participate in working out the Republic’s five-year socio-economic development programme and offered Mir Luganschine to arrange a broad public discussion.

LPR residents can phone hotlines or visit the Mir Luganschine website to bring forward their proposals concerning the programme. They are also welcome to present them at all Mir Luganschine executive committees and grassroots across the Republic.

Mir Luganschine is the largest social movement in the LPR numbering more than 101,000 members. It was established before the election to LPR People’s Council on November 2, 2014. The Mir Luganschine candidates won 69.42 percent of votes finishing first in the election. Acting LPR head Leonid Pasechnik was unanimously elected chairman of the movement at its 3rd Republican Congress on February 17.
