Statement by LPR People’s Council
The People’s Council of the Lugansk People’s Republic expresses extreme concern in connection with the appearance of the information regarding the drawing of a “plan for the deportation of the Donbass people” by the National Security Council of Ukraine.
The plan contradicts not only the Minsk Agreements and basic democratic principles, but also the principles of humanism on the whole, as it envisions forceful ukrainisation, resettlement and persecution of Donbass residents.
While sabotaging the Minsk Agreements in this manner, Ukraine continues to be focused on a forced solution of the Donbass conflict, viewing the residents of the Lugansk and Donetsk People’s Republics as terrorists, separatists or subhumans who have to be exterminated or deprived of the opportunity to lead a decent and free life on their land.
Having seen that the change of government in Ukraine has not altered its political line and that the implementation of the Minsk Agreements by Ukraine becomes less possible with each passing day, and understanding the true designs of the Ukrainian authorities on the Lugansk and Donetsk People’s Republics’ residents, we denounce the Ukrainian leadership’s actions which are in fact aimed at the genocide of the Donbass people.
Based on the above, the People’s Council of the Lugansk People’s Republic states that the course towards integration with the Russian Federation is the only right course which will continue.
