State Security Ministry seizes 385,000 arms, ammunition from saboteurs’ caches over year
LUGANSK, October 10 (Lugansk Media Centre) - State Security Ministry (MGB) agents seized some 385,000 weapons, rounds of ammunition and explosives from special operations teams’ caches over the year ending October 2017, the Ministry said.
“As a result of measures to expose and stop reconnaissance and subversive activities in the territory of the Lugansk People’s Republic, MGB officers found 85 caches containing weapons, ammunition and explosives left by criminal groups, Ukrainian forces and foreign secret services to support special operations in LPR,” the report said.
“MGB retrieved from illegal weapons turnover 119 firearms, 366,060 small arms rounds, 18,718 machine gun rounds, 72.2 kilogrammes of explosives as well as devices, accessories and fixtures for military use,” according to the report.
