Russian humanitarian convoy delivers flu vaccine to LPR - official

LUGANSK, October 25 (Lugansk Media Centre) - The 82nd Russian humanitarian aid convoy has delivered to the Lugansk People’s Republic influenza vaccines, medications and medical equipment, acting LPR Health Care Minister Natalia Paschenko said.

“The delivered humanitarian cargo is much needed for modern treatment of LPR patients,” Paschenko said. “Today, Russian sent nine truckloads of relief supplies, including a large cargo of medications and flu vaccines; we offer scheduled flu shots to our citizens.”

“Also, we received a lot of medical equipment,” she added.

Earlier in the day, the LPR Emergencies Ministry press service said that 25 Russian Emergency Situations Ministry (EMERCOM) trucks delivered 254.6 tons of relief supplies to the Republic. The cargo contains 5,682 food kits for infants (39.2 tons), and 12,742 food kits  for toddlers (95.6 tons), as well as 119.8 tons of medical supplies and medications.

On September 27, 2018, ten EMERCOM trucks delivered to the LPR 134 tons of humanitarian cargo including 5,682 baby food kits (39.2 tons) and 12,742 food kits for toddlers (94.8 tons).

The first Russian humanitarian aid convoy arrived in the LPR on August 22, 2014. Russia has delivered more than 75,000 tons of relief supplies to residents of the Lugansk People’s Republic and the Donetsk People’s Republic since.
