Russian humanitarian aid convoy delivers 170 tons of baby food to LPR (PHOTOS)

The 63rd humanitarian aid convoy of the Russian Emergencies Ministry (EMERCOM) arrived in Lugansk on Thursday; cargo unloading operations are underway. 

“Today, ten EMERCOM trucks delivered more than 170 tons of baby food to the Republic,” an LPR State Reserves Agency representative told Lugansk Media Centre. The cargo includes 5,682 food packages for infants and 12,742 food packages for toddlers.

LPR Emergencies Ministry Crisis Department head Evgeniy Katsavalov handed over commendation awards to eleven Russian colleagues.  

On 16 March, EMERCOM delivered more than 130 tons of baby food to the Republic.

The first Russian humanitarian aid convoy arrived in LPR on 22 August 2014. Russia has delivered more than 67,000 tons of relief supplies to LPR and DPR residents since.
