Russian humanitarian aid convoy arrives in Lugansk
The 65th humanitarian aid convoy of the Russian Emergencies Ministry (EMERCOM) arrived in Lugansk on Thursday; unloading is underway.
“Today, eleven EMERCOM trucks delivered 148.2 tons of supplies to the Republic,” an LPR State Reserves Agency representative told Lugansk Media Centre.
The cargo includes some 120 tons of baby food packages for infants and toddlers, more than seven tons of medications and over 21 tons of books.
On 27 April, ten EMERCOM trucks delivered 132.5 tons of baby formula to the Republic.
The first Russian humanitarian aid convoy arrived in LPR on 22 August 2014. Russia has delivered more than 67,000 tons of relief supplies to LPR and DPR residents since.
