Russia issues first passports to LPR residents (PHOTOS)
LUGANSK, June 14 (Lugansk Media Centre) - First group of LPR residengts have acquired Russian citizenhip and received passports in Novoshakhtinsk, Rostov Region, Lugansk Media Center correspondent reports.
Passports have been issued after LPR residents took oath to pledge alliance to Russia. Today about 30 residents of the LPR are expected to receive Russian IDs.
First group of LPR residents has set off to Russia, Rostov Region, to receive Russian passports.
Russian President Vladimir Putin has signed an order to simplify the procedure for obtaining a Russian passport for residents of the LPR and DPR. According to the order, the LPR and DPR residents can now apply for Russian citizenship under a simplified procedure if they provide IDs showing their permanent residence in the Donbass Republics. Marriage or divorce certificates, birth certificates, documents confirming name change or foreign citizenship should be filed as well, if applicable.
