Route taxi catches fire in Lugansk, woman hospitalized
LUGANSK, April 8 (Lugansk Media Centre) – A route taxi has burst into flames in eastern Lugansk this morning injuring a woman, the Emergencies ministry reported.
The incident took place at 10 a.m. today on the 30 Let Pobedy street.
"The driver says he pulled over to take passengers and saw smoke coming from the hood, he ran out to disconnect the accumulator as the cabin caught fire. As the driver was shutting off gas tanks, the compartment caught fire," the ministry said.
"A 51-year-old woman was taken to hospital with thermal flash damage to her face and stress response."
The fire was soon extinguished.
