Residents of Kiev-held parts of Lugansk region get LPR photo contest prizes
LUGANSK, September 10 (Lugansk Media Centre) - The Organising Committee of Open Republican Photo Contest “Miners Routine” has handed in money prizes to 20 winners from Kiev-controlled areas of the Lugansk region
The contest was organised by the Lugansk People’s Republic Trade Unions Federation under the aegis of the Donbass people reunification humanitarian programme. Fifty-two people applied for participation; forty of them were declared winners in 15 categories, including 20 photo amateurs from Kiev-held areas of the Lugansk region such as Lisichansk, Schastye, Severdonetsk, Rubezhnoye, Starobelsk, Stanitsa Luganskaya and the Stanichno-Luganskiy, Novoaidarskiy and Troitskiy districts.
Each participant from Kiev-held areas received a money prize worth 75,000 rubles. The winners from the LPR will collect their prizes shortly. The following list highlights 15 photo contest categories and laureates.
“What Donbass Starts with” - Nikolai P. from Kiev-held Novoaidarskiy district.
“Our Coalmines Are the Pride of Lugansk Region” - Sergey B. from Kiev-held Rubezhnoye.
“Stakhanov and Mamayev Movement Heroes” - Yevgenia G. from Kiev-controlled Schastye.
“That’s the Way you Look, Coal” - Nina I. from Kiev-controlled Stanitsa Luganskaya.
“Miner is Donbass Symbol; Glory to Miner’s Work” - Sergey K from Kiev-controlled Schastye and Vladimir V. from Kiev-held Rubezhnoye.
“Faces of Miners at Work” - Galina O from Kiev-controlled Novoaidarskiy district and Yelena Aliferenko from Kiev-controlled Troitskiy district.
“Miner’s Character” - Darya Kalashnik from Kiev-controlled Starobelsk.
“A Trip Across Miners’ Territory” - Lidia B. from Stanitsa Luganskaya.
“Miners’ Family Photo” - Larisa B from Kiev-controlled Lisichansk.
“Viewers Prize” - Valentina M. from Schastye, Grigoriy A. from Stanitsa Luganskaya.
“Miner’s Work as Seen by Children” - Leonid S. from Kiev-controlled Severdonetsk.
“Miners’ Dynasties” - Vladimir Ch from the Stanichno-Luganskiy district.
“Persons to Look up To” - Nelli Sh. from Stanitsa Luganskaya.
“The Role of Woman in Miner’s Work”/“Women in Unfeminine Profession” - Maria P. from Stanitsa Luganskaya and Violetta G. from Rubezhnoye.
“Lugansk Region Energy” - Igor Nosal from Kiev-controlled Lisichansk and Yuriy Ch. from the Stanichno-Luganskiy district.
“Hobby is a pursuit you do with pleasure, and it is not necessarily the same as your profession. Suddenly you get the opportunity to show your talent, and it gets appreciation; on top of it, it’s pleasant to have a money prize,” photo contest laureate from Kiev-held Troitskiy district Yelena Aliferenko said.
“I have a daughter who goes to the university; it’s the beginning of the academic year, I have to buy clothes for her,” she said.
“I didn’t expect to win. I liked the contest, it was interesting to take part in it, the atmosphere was friendly, I met people. I want to spend the money on my grandchildren, a boy and a girl,” said Igor Nosal from Kiev-controlled Lisichansk.
“I feel a surge of energy, a pleasant sensation, I didn’t think I’d win. I liked the contest; I talked with miners. My first husband was a miner; he was killed in an accident. I want to use the money prize to connect my house to the water supply system,” Nelli Sh. from Stanichno-Luganskiy district said.
Earlier, the Photo Contest Organising Committee handed in diplomas to 40 winners from the whole Lugansk region.
On February 17, 2017, DPR and LPR Heads Alexander Zakharchenko and Igor Plotnitskiy launched the program of humanitarian assistance for residents of Kiev-occupied part of Donbass. The main goal of the programme is to support socially vulnerable groups in Kiev-held areas. It envisions financial and medical aid and educational services.
LPR Telecom and Mass Communications Ministry launched the humanitarian programme website.
