Power restored to most Lugansk districts
Energy workers restored electricity to the larger part of Lugansk within an hour after power supply from the Kiev-held territory was halted.
Regional authorities said there had been no power cuts elsewhere in the Republic except for short outages in Alchevsk and Perevalsk.
Earlier, Ukraine’s Lugansk Energy Association Director General Vladimir Gritsai said that electricity supply to LPR would be halted from 00:00 on 25 April by the decision of the Ukrainian Fuel and Energy Ministry.
LPR Head Igor Plotnitskiy said the Lugansk People’s Republic wound not be left without electricity if Ukraine stopped power feed from the Schastye thermal power plant or other providers in Kiev-controlled territory.
