Pasechnik: Kiev's denial of access to Russian observers counter-democratic
LUGANSK, January 11 (Lugansk Media Centre) – Ukraine's refusal to admit Russian observers to presidential election runs counter current democratic norms, said LPR head Leonid Pasechnik.
Ukrainian minister of foreign affairs Pavel Klimkin claimed earlier on Facebook that he had sent a letter to Ingibjorg Solrun Gisladottir, Director of the Office for Democratic Institutions and Human Rights of OSCE inviting observers to the presidential election in Ukraine. He noted that Ukraine would not accept applications from Russian observers.
"Ukraine's denial of access to Russian observers at presidential election is at odds with democratic norms. Unlike Donbass Republics that had absolutely transparent democratic elections open for any observers, Kiev is again violating rules of international law," Pasechnik said in a statement made available to Lugansk Media Center.
