Pasechnik invites Zelensky to Lugansk for direct talks

LUGANSK, August 7 (Lugansk Media Centre) – LPR Head Leonid Pasechnik has invited Ukrainian president Vladimir Zelensky to direct talks in Lugansk with his personal safety guaranteed.

Pasechnik is speaking live at his "Direct Line" Q&A broadcasted by the GTRK LNR state TV company on Wednesday." More than 2.3 thousand Ukrainians have sent their questions to the LPR Head.

"If Zelensky decides to visit us we shall receive him in accordance with the international protocol. He shall worry about his personal safety, absolutely not. Let him come, we shall talk about he soonest installment of peace in Donbass to stop this madness," Pasechnik said.

 He said the only way to prevent further casualties is to negotiate the situation directly.

"We invite him, his personal safety is guaranteed," the LPR Head said.

Pasechnik held his first "Direct Line" in March 2019; more than 1,400 thousand people from 23 Ukrainian cities and towns sent their questions then.
