Pasechnik expresses condolences over Superjet tragic accident at Moscow airport
LUGANSK, May 6 (Lugansk Media Centre) – LPR head Leonid Pasechnik has expressed his condolences over the Sukhoi Superjet aircraft accident at a Moscow airport that claimed 41 lives on Sunday.
Russian Aeroflot Sukhoi Superjet plane, domestic flight SU 1492 Moscow – Murmansk, declared an emergency soon after the takeoff and made a hard landing on Sunday, May 5. Video footage showed it touch down, bounce back into the air and hit the ground again, then speed down a runway at Moscow's Sheremetyevo airport spewing huge flames and black smoke before coming to a stop, and passengers starting to jump on evacuation slides. The accident killed 41 people, 37 survived.
"A terrifying catastrophe at the Sheremetyevo airport claimed dozens of lives. I express my condolences to families of the victims. Donbass is grieving with you," Pasechnik said in his statement.
