OSCE SMM employees illegally ship 16 cars to LPR for sale - police
LUGANSK, December 24 (Lugansk Media Centre) - OSCE Special Monitoring Mission Lugansk team members illegally delivered 16 cars from Europe through Ukraine for sale in the Lugansk People’s Republic, the LPR Interior Ministry public relations department reported.
“An LPR resident had proof of origin problems during the registration of his car,” the public relations department said. “A check by criminal investigation centre experts found damage to the vehicle identification number.”
“Artyomovsky police department experts said that the car had been purchased in the LPR territory from a 43-year-old person who is currently an OSCE SMM Lugansk team member. A probe found that OSCE SMM employees D.Manukhov, S.Sinyakin, A.Biryukov, S.Shipovskikh and M.Mokhsin, had exploited their immunity from criminal presecution in the LPR to design an illegal scheme for selling foreign cars in the LPR without paying taxes to the Republic.”
In a gross violation of the OSCE Code of Conduct which prohibits taking jobs or paid activity outside the OSCE working environment, the above persons shipped 16 cars from the EU through Ukraine into the LPR customs territory for sale, the Interior Ministry said.
These illegal actions, covered by LPR Criminal Code Article 229, Part 1 (tax evasion by natural persons) have caused damage worth over 500,000 Russian rubles to the Republic, the LPR police said.
