One of the miners rescued after spending 4 days trapped underground at Cherkasskaya mine
LUGANSK, December 4 (Lugansk Media Centre) – LPR Emergency teams have pulled back to the surface one of the two miners who had been trapped after a rock-fall at Cherkasskaya mine in Zimogorye, Slavyanoserbsk district.
A mine employee Nikita Bobenko found himself trapped underground after a rock-fall at the depth of 680 m prompted by the dismantling of a tunnel supports. One of the miners has been rushed to hospital with moderately bruised spine. Two miners, born in 1964 and 1986, have been trapped underground.
"One of the two miners has been brought back to surface. The search of the second man is ongoing," the Emergencies Ministry said.
The rescued has been taken to Lugansk Republican Clinic.
