One COVID-19 patient dies in LPR over 24 hours - Healthcare Ministry
LUGANSK, June 5 (Lugansk Media Centre) – One COVID-19 patient has died in the Lugansk People’s Republic over the past 24 hours, the LPR Healthcare Ministry reported.
“LPR medics recorded one COVID-19 death which brings the LPR coronavirus infection death toll to nine,” the report said.
Earlier, the Ministry said that the coronavirus situation in the Republic had fully stabilized and that the government and medics were monitoring it.
The World Health Organisation called the COVID-19 coronavirus infection a pandemic. The first coronavirus infection cases were recorded in China in late 2019. As of now, the number of coronavirus contacts has exceeded 6.2 million; of those, over 379,000 have died. The LPR confirmed 429 COVID-19 cases.
To prevent the spreading of the coronavirus infection, the LPR authorities put the Republic on high alert and changed the mode of operation for government bodies, companies, organisations and transport. As present, most of restrictions have been eased due to the improving COVID-19 situation.
Earlier, the LPR Healthcare Ministry said that the coronavirus situation in the Republic had fully stabilized and that the government and medics were monitoring it.
