LUGANSK, December 24 (Lugansk Media Centre) – The number of occupational fatalities in LPR has reduced by 58 percent in 2018 y-o-y, said state industrial safety and labor protection inspector of the State Service of Mining Supervision and Industrial Safety Igor Ryzhov.
"In 2018, State Service of Mining Supervision put a lot of efforts into occupational safety and health. The number of occupational fatalities reduced by 58 percent as 13 people died ahile on duty in 2018, compared to 31 in 2017."
"The coal industry, one of the most unsafe, saw the reduction of occupational fatalities by 53 percent, as eight people died in 2018 and 17 – in 2017."
