No COVID-19 cases recorded in the LPR - health authorities
LUGANSK, March 18 (Lugansk Media Centre) – No cases of COVID-19 have been registered in the LPR, 22 people are guaranteed, the head doctor of the Lugansk sanitary-epidemiological station Dmitry Dokashenko said.
"There are no confirmed cases of the coronavirus in the LPR. No patients with suspected virus are treated at hospitals," he said.
"Currently 22 people are under medical surveillance at homes. They are not allowed to leave their homes."
LPR Head Leonid Pasechnik ordered high alert in the Republic in connection with the threat of spreading of the COVID-19 coronavirus infection.
The World Health Organisation called the COVID-19 coronavirus infection a pandemic. The first coronavirus infection cases were recorded in China in late 2019. As of now, the number of coronavirus cases exceeded 200,000; of those more than 7,900 died and over 81,000 recovered and were discharged from hospitals. Coronavirus cases were reported in Ukraine and Russia. No coronavirus cases were recorded in the LPR.
