Mir Luganschine social movement numbers 92,000 supporters
LUGANSK, July 6 (Lugansk Media Center) – Mir Luganschine (Peace to Lugansk Region) social movement has 92,000 members, the Movement’s Executive Committee told Lugansk Media Centre.
The Committee said that “the work to involve new supporters would continue in accordance with decisions taken at regional branches conferences.”
More than 25,200 supporters were registered in 2016, and 6,800 have joined since the beginning of 2017.
The number of Mir Luganschine supporters is rising steadily due to the fact that people share its clear and understandable purposes and goals.
The main goals of the movement are fighting against fascism and heading towards the Russian World.
The Executive Committee also highlighted the role of Mir Luganschine nationwide projects in attracting new supporters.
The Won't Forget, Won't Forgive project activists help to perpetuate the memory of compatriots who died during the war in Donbass. The Candidates Pool project gives an opportunity to students and young specialists to find a job. Activists of The Care for Veterans and Volunteer projects help those in need.
Mir Luganschine is the largest social movement in the Republic. It was established prior to elections to LPR People’s Council on 2 November 2014. Mir Luganschine activists enjoyed solid support coming first with 69.42 percent of votes. Mir Luganschine chairman is LPR Head Igor Plotnitskiy.
