LUGANSK, December 28 (Lugansk Media Centre) - Luganskvoda, a state-owned enterprise of the Lugansk People’s Republic has replaced 24.3 kilometers of water pipes in the LPR as part of a government water supply networks renovation project.

“Luganskvoda specialists have successfully finished all works envisioned by the state program. In 2017-2018, 24,339 meters of water pipes were replaced."

The pipes were replaced at worn-out sections where the majority of leaks occurred.

Engineers mostly used trenchless technologies, in particular remediation, placing new plastic tubes inside old metal tubes.

On November 14, 2017, the LPR Council of Ministers approved the water supply network renovation program for 2017-2018.

The Lugansk city administration press service said that Luganskvoda had finished the second stage of the renovation program replacing 12,800 metres of water pipes in the LPR capital.
