Luganskgaz not to increase natural gas prices for LPR residents
LUGANSK, September 19 (Lugansk Media Centre) - The Luganskgaz state-owned enterprise has no plans to increase the price of natural gas in the Lugansk People’s Republic, Luganskgaz director Tatyana Bogorodko said at a press briefing at the Lugansk Media Centre on Wednesday.
“Our prices have been stable since the establishment of our enterprise; they have remained unchanged or decreased since 2014. We do not plan to increases prices,” Bogorodko said.
According to Ukrainian mass media reports, gas prices for Ukrainian consumers would increase to 11 hryvnas per one cubic meter of gas in the near future, she said.
“The increase to 11 hryvnas (27 rubles per cubic metre), will make the Ukrainian gas price nearly ten times higher than in the LPR,” the Luganskgaz director said.
Earlier, Bogorodko said that the price of natural gas for residents of Ukraine was five to six times higher than for LPR residents.
The gas prices for all types of consumers are available on the Luganskgaz website.
A comparative analysis of central heating prices in Lugansk and Severodonetsk indicated that the prices in the Kiev-controlled town were 11 times higher than in the LPR capital, while in Schastye they were four times higher.
