Lugakom mobile network operator reaches almost 670,000 subscribers – Ministry
LUGANSK, July 17 (Lugansk Media Centre) – The number of Lugakom mobile carrier subscribers has reached 667 thousand, said the Republic’s Telecom and Mass Communications principal deputy Minister Yury Pershikov.
"The number of Lugakom subscribers grows, today we have 666,964 customers," he said.
"This is a large figure, as the project capacity of the network was 200-300 thousand users. The network was established to provide services for public authorities, military and law enforcement. After the Vodafone services deteriorated, it was decided to open the Lugakom network for civilian users.”
On 18 June 2015, the Ministry of Telecom and Mass Communications announced launching of a new domestic mobile operator Lugakom. LPR post offices began to sell Lugakom user kits in September 2015.
