"LPR's victory": Kiev finally agrees to repair Stanitsa bridge
LUGANSK, June 28 (Lugansk Media Centre) – The LPR has made Kiev to agree to the repairs of the Stanitsa Luganskaya bridge, the Republic's Head Leonid Pasechnik announced on his Twitter.
"Another LPR's victory! The bridge in the vicinity of Stanitsa Luganskaya will be repaired shortly. We have managed to make Ukraine rebuild what it has destroyed," he wrote.
Pasechik said the repairs will be "Ukraine's small compensation for sufferings of people who had to cross the contact line through a wooden ramp over the collapsed parts of the bridge".
Currently there is only one official checkpoint at the line of contact in LPR area of responsibility in Donbass and it is accessible via the bridge in the vicinity of Stanitsa Luganskaya. Only pedestrian traffic there is possible as a temporary wooden ramp has been installed over the collapsed sections of the bridge. The bridge sustained damage after it had been blown up by Ukrainian forces on March 19, 2015. LPR has been continuously proposing to rebuild it.
