LUGANSK, August 27 (Lugansk Media Centre) - Sverdlovantratsit miners have hauled two million tons of coal to the surface since the beginning of this year, up 500,000 tons year-on-year, the company press service reported.

“On August 25, the close-knit team of Sverdlovantratsit, Affiliate No 2 of Vneshtorgservis ZAO, exceeded the benchmark two million tons of coal since the beginning of this year, beating its own record of the same period in 2017 by 500,000 tons,” the press service said.

The company produced 1,009,034 tons of coal as of August 25, 2015 while in subsequent two years the output in the same period increased to 1,292,950 tons and 1,496,110 tons, respectively.

“Dear miners, I wish to say words of gratitude to you for your self-sacrifice, courage and even heroism which you showed throughout your workdays. I heartily congratulate your team with this labour achievement. I wish you robust health, progress and prosperity, togetherness and high output values. Peace to your homes and well-being to your relatives,” said Sverdlovantratsit director Konstanting Skrypnik as he addressed the miners.

Earlier, the Sverdlovantratsit press service said that the first million of tons of coal was produced on April 24.

By mid-August, Sverdlovantratsit miners had tunnelled 6,000 metres of rock.

Affiliate No 2 of Vneshtorgservis CEO Sergey Gorokhov said that the largest LPR coal mining companies were experiencing a revival.

LPR Trade Union Federation chairman Oleg Akimov said that the Republic had ensured stable operation of the coal companies abandoned by Kiev.

The law on non-resident companies envisions introduction of state management by appointing interim administration at non-resident businesses operating in the Republic which failed to conclude, by March 1, 2017, the agreement with LPR tax agents on tax deductions to the LPR budget. Krasnodonugol, Rovenkiantratsit and Sverdlovantratsit are among the receivership companies.
