LPR's Head says Poroshenko speaks ceasefire for PR purposes
LUGANSK, April 12 (Lugansk Media Centre) – The statement of the Ukrainian president Petr Poroshenko on a professed ceasefire coming into effect on April 18 is another element of his PR strategy, said LPR head Leonid Pasechnik.
"It was the unconstructive position of the Ukrainian side that prevented us from agreeing on the time and date and announcement of the ceasefire."
He said that in the given circumstances Poroshenko's words were perplexing as the videoconference to coordinate the agreement was scheduled for April 18.
"The ceasefire must be coordinated with Donbass. We have been trying to coordinate measures to control ceasefire for almost a year now. But Kiev hampers the efforts resorting to daily provocations, not stopping shelling even for a minute, causing deaths of our people".
