LPR vital records offices note 18-percent increase in marriages from 2016
LUGANSK, July 11 (Lugansk Media Center) – LPR Vital Records Offices registered 1,090 marriages in the first half of 2017, an 18 percent increase year-on-year, the Republic’s Justice Ministry reported.
“As many as 1,090 marriages were registered in the Lugansk People’s Republic in the first half, up 162 from the same period last year,” the report said.
The largest number of marriages was registered in LPR capital Lugansk (322), followed by Sverdlovsk (103), Krasnodon (95), Alchevsk (89) and Krasniy Luch (82). Slavyanoserbsk filed 17 marriages, the least number in the republic.
Vital Records Office also registered 3,503 births in the designated period: 1,108 births in Lugansk, 329 in Sverdlovsk, 304 in Krasnodon, 268 in Alchevsk, 262 in Krasniy Luch and 261 in Antratsit.
Kirovsk posted 37 births, the least number.
LPR Vital Records Offices registered 433 marriages in the first quarter, a 10-percent increase year-on-year.
LPR Justice Ministry reported 2,370 marriages in the Republic in 2016.
