LPR veterans visit Great Patriotic War Winners Ball in Moscow
LUGANSK, December 2 (Lugansk Media Centre) – WWII veterans from LPR have visited Moscow to participate in the Great Patriotic War Winners Ball, the LPR Public Chamber said.
Overall, more than 400 veterans from Donbass, Russia, Baltic States and the CIS attended the event to commemorate the 75th anniversary of USSR liberation from the nazi army. Four veterans represented the LPR.
"Almost all countries of the former USSR are represented today – Belorussia, Ukraine, Uzbekistan, Kazakhstan, Moldavia, Baltic States; delegations from Sevastopol, St. Petersburg have arrived as well," said Fedor Smuglin, the director of the Victory Museum in Moscow where the Ball took place.
The participants laid flowers to the sculpture of the Soldier of Victory and visited a 3D installation "Road to Victory".
The Great Patriotic War Winners Ball is held annually since 2005.
