LPR transport companies took 28,000 residents to Russia to receive passports
LUGANSK, October 18 (Lugansk Media Centre) – LPR transport companies have transferred 28 thousand LPR residents to Russian passports issuance offices since June, said the Minister of Infrastructure and Transport Alexander Basov.
"From June 14 to October 17, the total of 610 trips were carried out and 28,169 LPR residents taken (to offices) to receive their Russian passports."
According to the minister, from eight to 12 buses are used on the routes transferring 400-600 people daily.
Russian President Vladimir Putin has signed an order to simplify the procedure for obtaining a Russian passport for residents of the LPR and DPR. According to the order, the LPR and DPR residents can now apply for Russian citizenship under a simplified procedure if they provide IDs showing their permanent residence in the Donbass Republics. Marriage or divorce certificates, birth certificates, documents confirming name change or foreign citizenship should be filed as well, if applicable.
