LPR Trade Union Federation invites Irish colleagues to Lugansk May 1 celebrations
LUGANSK, February 6 (Lugansk Media Centre) - The Lugansk People’s Republic Innovative and Small Businesses Trade Union invited colleagues from Northern Ireland to come to the LPR for May 1 celebrations, Union chairman, member of the LPR Trade Union Federation Presidium Andrey Kochetov said at a press briefing at the Lugansk Media Centre.
In January, Kochetov visited Northern Ireland at the invitation of Ireland’s Independent Workers’ Union.
“During the six-day trip, we had many meetings and visited six towns. Belfast was the key point on my itinerary. Our colleagues show a great interest in what has been happening in the Donbass Republics for the past five years,” he said.
“We have a whole range of events mapped out for the future. For example, we invited Northern Ireland trade union representatives to attend May 1 festivities in our Republic. We hope that they will find an opportunity to pay us a visit. I won’t tell all secrets; we have plans for immediate future, not just for May 1,” Kochetov said.
Many foreign delegations will traditionally take part in LPR May 1 festivities, he added.
The foreign guests who attended the May 1 rally in Lugansk in 2019 appreciated the scope of LPR celebrations.
