LPR to raise pensions by 17 percent starting January 1, 2021
LUGANSK, October 27 (Lugansk Media Centre) - The Lugansk People’s Republic government has passed a resolution to increase retirement benefits by 17 percent starting January 2021, the LPR Pension Fund reported.
“To increase the value of retirement benefits for recipients living in the Lugansk People’s Republic, the LPR government, on October 23, 2020, passed Resolution 792/20 on pension rise,” the report said. Under the resolution, pensions will increase by 17 percent; this includes benefits for every unemployable member who qualifies for survivor’s pension.”
The pension rise takes into account targeted financial assistance, special service pensions and other enacted supplements.

Starting from January 2020, the value of LPR pensions increased by 20 percent.
Pension Fund chairwoman Tatyana Vasilyeva said that the minimum pension in the Republic amounted to 4,800 roubles starting from January 1, 2020.
LPR Head Leonid Pasechnik said that the wages of public sector workers and civil officers had to match the wage level in Russia’s Rostov region by January 2022.
On May 12, 2018, Pasechnik said after the public discussion of the LPR socio-economic development programme “Our Choice” that pensions in the Republic would exceed the subsistence minimum by 2023.
