LPR to launch nine industrial enterprises in 2018
LUGANSK, March 21 (Lugansk Media Centre) – LPR Ministry of Industry and Trade plans to launch nine industrial enterprises in 2018, said the head of the ministry Dmitriy Bozhich.
"We have analyzed industrial enterprises which are ready to be launched, we have chosen nine of them which we can potentially assist and launch in 2018," he said.
"First of all, it is Stakhanov ferrous alloys plant and we are also working with Lugansk Tube Plant, reviewing its range of products, it is in demand."
The ministry considers relaunching Bryanka drilling equipment plant and Kirovsk blacksmith plant CentroKuz.
The ministry's experts are also establishing ties with the DPR and scientists in the LPR.
Earlier Bozhich said that Stakhanov Ferroalloy Plant is ready to launch ferrosilicon production. The minister said future customers had already been defined.
Earlier acting LPR head Leonid Pasechnik said the Republic is determined to relaunch major plants and enterprises.
Stakhanov Ferroalloy Plant specializes in silicon alloys manufacturing. It used to be the biggest producer of ferrosilicon in Ukraine. The plant was built in 1959. By the end of 1962 there were eight furnaces operating full time. In 2014, during the military aggression of Ukraine against Donbass, the plant sustained serious damage and seized operations. The Republican authorities designed a plan for the overhaul of the plant.
