LPR Supreme Court sentences Kirovsk resident to 12 years in prison for high treason
LUGANSK, January 13 (Lugansk Media Centre) – LPR Supreme Court has sentences a Kirovsk resident to 12 years in prison for high treason, the Prosecutor General's press service said.
"Prosecutors of the department of supervision of execution of laws by military personnel and state security authorities of the Prosecutor Generals' Office department of supervision of execution of laws in the military sphere supported the public prosecution in criminal case against the Kirovsk resident," the report reads.
According to the investigation, the man was engaged in anti-LPR activities from April to December 2018. In particular, he tried to discredit the LPR leader election by photographing and filming some organizers in order to submit photos to Ukrainian special services so that they could identify and intimidate those people.
He also testified in a Ukrainian court in a case against LPR elections.
The defendant pleaded guilty and was sentenced to 12 years of prisons.
