LPR sunflower oil production up 11.3 times year-on-year
LUGANSK, November 29 (Lugansk Media Centre) - The Lugansk People’s Republic increased refined sunflower oil production by 11.3 times in January through October year-on-year, and also increased the production of cheese and confectionery, the LPR Agriculture and Food Ministry reported.
“Food and processing companies show positive dynamics continuing to step up the production of foodstuffs,” it said.
“In January through October 2018, the production of unfermented cheese increased by 73.2 percent, butter by 57.4 percent, noodle products by 51.6 percent, unrefined sunflower oil by 17.4 percent, soft drinks by 14.4 percent, sausage by 7.2 percent, flour by 6.3 percent and finished feeds for cattle by 4.6 percent,” the report said.
Refind sunflower oil production increased by 11.3 tiimes, sugar confectionery by 77.8 percent, cakes by 37.6 percent, pastry by 24.1 percent, and sweet biscuits and wafers by 12 percent,” the Ministry said.
The production of other foodstuffs in the reporting period was maintained at the level to fully meet the Republic’s consumer demand.
In the first quarter, egg production in the LPR increased by 25 percent year-on-year.
