LPR State Security Ministry uncovers 130 spies this year
LUGANSK, October 9 (Lugansk Media Center) – LPR State Security Ministry (MGB) curbed the activity of almost 130 foreign secret services agents in the Republic’s territory over the year.
“The MGB officers exposed and thwarted 128 operatives as part of measures against foreign intelligence networks in LPR in the period from October 2016 to October 2017,” the ministry said.
"The majority were hooked by the representatives of the Ukraine's Security Service and the Chief directorate of intelligence of the ministry of defense of Ukraine," it added.
The number of foreign whistle-blowers have grown compared to 2015 (37 vs 90 agents in 2016).
In January 2017 the MGB officers uncovered 13 Ukrainian agents.
From December 2014 to December 2016 the ministry thwarted 130 foreign spies.
