LPR State Bank issues over 250,000 payment cards to customers
LUGANSK, November 15 (Lugansk Media Centre) - The Lugansk People’s Republic State Bank has issued more than 250,000 payment cards to its customers since September 2017, Bank Chairman Dmitriy Chaikin said at a press briefing at the Lugansk Media Centre on Thursday.
“As of today, our Bank has issued over 250,000 cards,” Chaikin said adding that more than 600 terminals for cashless transfers by Bank clients had been installed across the Republic.
“Of those, 200 POS terminals were installed at retail outlets and 400 at our Bank offices for customers’ convenience,” he said.
The Bank plans to launch BASS terminals in the second half of January 2019.
“The so-called Bass terminal is currently in the works. It emulates cash-in ATMs for such operations as account replenishment, mobile top-up, tax or customs payments etc.
Earlier, he said that the Bank had issued more than 22,000 payment cards to its clients as of late December 2017.
The State Bank began to issue payment cards to personnel of the Republic’s ministries and departments in September 2017.
