LUGANSK, January 17 (Lugansk Media Centre) – LPR State Bank began issuing plastic cards for pension payments and social benefits, said its deputy director, head of retail business development unit Daria Kondachkova.
"Today, January 17, the State Bank began issuing pension and social plastic cards. They will be issued for free."
The cards can be received in any bank office upon providing an ID, identification code and filling in the questionnaire. The pin-code is set by the client upon the receiving of the card. Cards are prepared within 20-day period.
"As card is activated, the funds on the account are transferred to the card," Kondachkova said.
Cash can be withdrawn from the card at any office or via one of the 25 cash machines operating in the LPR.
Plastic is accepted in some pharmacies and super markets.
The rule of 'at least one pension withdrawal in two months' is applied to the cards. If a pensioner fails to receive his pension payments for two months, the allocation is to be suspended.
Pension and social cards are valid for one year.
