LPR reports 542 COVID-10 cases – Health Ministry
LUGANSK, July 8 (Lugansk Media Centre) - Lugansk People’s Republic medics confirmed 542 coronavirus infection cases in the Republic, the LPR Healthcare Ministry press service reported.
“As of 9:00, July 8, the LPR had 542 confirmed COVID patients,” the report said.“
A total of 464 persons have recovered and left hospitals after two negative tests since the beginning of the coronavirus infection outbreak, 13 patients died.
Earlier, the Ministry said that the coronavirus situation in the Republic had fully stabilized and that the government and medics were monitoring it.
The World Health Organisation called the COVID-19 coronavirus infection a pandemic. The first coronavirus infection cases were recorded in China in late 2019. As of now, the number of coronavirus contacts has exceeded 11.1 million; of those, over 528,000 have died.
To prevent the spreading of the coronavirus infection, the LPR authorities put the Republic on high alert and changed the mode of operation of government bodies, companies, organizations and transport. As present, most of restrictions have been eased due to the improving COVID-19 situation.
