LPR reports 2,059 COVID-19 cases
LUGANSK, December 27 (Lugansk Media Centre) - Lugansk People’s Republic medics recorded 2,059 coronavirus infection cases in the Republic, the LPR Healthcare Ministry press service reported.
“As of 09:00, December 27, the LPR had 2,059 confirmed COVID-19 cases,” the report said. “A total of 1,720 persons have recovered and left hospitals with two negative test results for COVID-19 since the beginning of the coronavirus infection outbreak.”
The World Health Organisation called the COVID-19 coronavirus infection a pandemic. The first coronavirus infection cases were recorded in China in late 2019. The number of coronavirus contacts across the world has exceeded 78.3 million by now; of those, over 1.7 million people have died.
To prevent the spread of the coronavirus infection, the LPR authorities put the Republic on high alert and introduced lockdown measures.
