LPR reports 1,745 COVID-19 cases
LUGANSK, November 22 (Lugansk Media Centre) - Lugansk People’s Republic medics recorded 1,745 coronavirus infection cases in the Republic, the LPR Healthcare Ministry press service reported.
“As of 09:00, November 22, the LPR had 1,745 confirmed COVID-19 cases,” the report said.
“A total of 1,501 persons have recovered and left hospitals with two negative test results for COVID-19 since the beginning of the coronavirus infection outbreak.”
The World Health Organisation called the COVID-19 coronavirus infection a pandemic. The first coronavirus infection cases were recorded in China in late 2019. The number of coronavirus contacts across the world has exceeded 56.9 million; of those, over 1.3 million people have died. Earlier, the LPR confirmed 1,732 COVID-19 cases.
To prevent the spread of the coronavirus infection, the LPR authorities put the Republic on high alert and introduced lockdown measures.
